I was just thinking about this, I think it would be awesome for the Saints to bring in Joe Horn as an assistant coach, most likely it would be the WR coach. I always loved his intensity and passion for the game when he was playing, and I think he could get the guys fired up and ready to play every week, along with Drew of course. What do y'all think?

I had a dream nick Saban went to Tulane. I guess that means Curtis Johnson is back on the market

He didn't go to LSU. We should not take a look at him.

Hey, most coaches were once players, so you can't say my thread suggestion doesn't make sense. Joe Horn was an All-Pro receiver who knows the ins and outs of the receiver position, he could be a valuable asset to the team.

All coaches were once babies; that doesn't mean that all people who were once babies will be good coaches.

How many elite NFL coaches are former star players?

Sean Payton was a replacement QB in 1987.
Jim Harbaugh was an average QB who made one good run in Indy.
Did John Harbaugh, Mike McCarthy, Mike Tomlin, Tom Coughlin, Pete Carroll, Mike Shanahan, etc. even play in the NFL?

What about the elite NFL players? Mike Singletary was a trainwreck. Mike Ditka showed how great he was in New Orleans when he didn't have a Buddy Ryan defense. Bart Starr was terrible. Mike Munchak is average at best so far. Forrest Gregg was okay.

I know--assistant coach =/= head coach, but the point is that a lot of great coaches are not great players.
