in my league head to head record doesn't count in the tiebreakers for seeding in the playoffs.

its overall record then total points which I hate.

in the case this year im the #5 seed yet i hold a better head to head record against the 3 and 4 teams kinda sucks dont you think

Everyone has different rules...they can be kind of strange at times. I had a league last year where head to head was the deciding factor. The two teams in question, split the two games against each other in the regular season. So, what did NFL.com do to settle that? They took both games and combined the points! The dude that lost out had about 300 more total points than the guy that wound up getting in (but had less combined points in their two matchups). No one even realized that it worked this way in the rules. But, there was nothing we could do since it was that way since the beginning of the year. That was a new one for sure

Total points is a better indication of the better team.

Push for it next year then and see what your league thinks.

But this. I think points for is a much better indicator in FF. Its a game where you can't play defense. You can't do anything to stop teams from beating you. In real football, teams get that chance; thats why head-to-head makes more sense for real sports, in my opinion.
