Question with regards to Mett's draft stock?

Will Mett be able to attend the NFL combine now that his acl is torn. What happens to his draft stock if he cannot attend the combine.
This story on Mett makes me sad. Mett has more talent than Matt Flynn and Matt Mauck and had a better work ethic than Jamarcus Russell. He had all it takes to succeed in the NFL.
Every year Stud has been here, the online has under performed. Miles needs to find Studrawa a job and hire a real online coach.

doubt it, looking at april/may at the earliest, combine is in Feb. I hear his draft stock won't take too much of a hit though.

Hopefully Marcus Mariota returning next season will help Mett out. I don't think this injury will hurt his draft stock too much. Everyone knew he had a knee problem.

His atrributes arent affected by this injury like other prospects who rely on mobility. Now, had he seperated his throwing shoulder..
His stock is preserved IMHO.

Interestingly updates AFTER news of the injury still show 2nd round, and I saw one as high as 1st round from a link on twitter.. can't find it now.

I had seen him as Cleveland's second 1st round pick before injury.

Mett draft stock will not be effected by his injury. If he is able to attend the combine it would boost his stock. his arm talent up to 40 yds is 1st pick worthy scouts will be drooling watching him fling it. Deep ball is his problem, and I think that will be the reason he struggles in the NFL and go in the 2nd or 3rd round.
Hopes he gets drafted by KC & andy reid

I agree with the others, Mett's game isn't based on his legs and he should be able to recover fully so his throwing isn't affected. Of course a knee injury doesn't help and I guess there's a chance teams will pass on him bc of it but I wouldn't think so.

I think at the Combine they test stuff like speed and agility. Stuff that Mett excels at. It's probably better that he doesn't go.

His draft stock will be fine. One thing that helps him a lot is having a year Under Cam.

But with a bum knee he won't even be able to throw either for a while. There's plenty tape but scouts like to see players in person at workouts.

McShay just said on mike and mike that he should still be taken on the second day, round 2 or 3.

What is the big deal?
I don't think Dan Marino even played with knees.

I'd bet he slips a round because of it. I don't think he was going to be taken by someone to start next year anyway though.

These injuries are going to push the envelope about letting underclassmen come out before jr year.
Clowney had no interest in playing this year.
Look what happened to Lattimore.
Do you think Gurley is chomping at the bit to return to UGA next year or start his NFL Career after seeing all his teammates go down.

Well I agree with everyone who said it probably wont HURT his draft stock. The problem is that he will not have an opportunity to HELP it before the draft.
His big chance to get into the 1st rd was having an awesome pro day and combine. He obviously wouldn't have put up good numbers in the speed/agility drills, but the passing drills would have given him a chance to show off his arm (which is the strongest in the draft).
IMO, it doesn't HURT him but takes away his chances to HELP himself.

The good news is that - all the pro scouts know that. They also have plenty of film.

In a way, having the excuse of the knee helps him here - it was going to be bad - now no one will know how bad - plus he'll have all the way to the combine to rehab/prepare.
Another good bit of news - he certainly doesn't need the reps, as he's been the guy for 2 years - he's also worked with Cam the past year and that puts him a year ahead of some QBs who are not working with a position coach with Cam's level of professional experience.

You and I both know that pro day helped JR and Cammy Cam get to the #1 spot. Even though there is film, scouts drool over these players running around like cattle at a stock sale.
The combine shouldn't carry so much weight, but we all know it does. It is the freshest thing on everyone's mind.

IMO, Mett's body of work will keep his draft status strong. the kid was on tv just about every week and the nfl knows what kind of potential he has and how much he improved after one season with Cam. with the surgery and rehab his knee should be a non-issue. look forward to pulling for him on Sundays.
geaux Mett.
