I rep LSU on a pretty ridiculous level. I feel like it's become a social problem for me during football season , and it trails through the rest of basketball and baseball before getting back to socially acceptable levels.

I was born in Lake Charles, but I've resided in Florida for years now. I spent my childhood there and I've always felt a real connection with Louisiana and my friends that I keep up with. I've lived in all parts of the southeast, and there isn't a region in the south that compares to Louisiana culture. The real Mardi Gras & NOLA, boiled crawfish and cobbed corn, LSU athletics... Nowhere will you find a place with such a unique feel and I can't wait to move my fam back when the time is right.

I feel like I define myself to a degree with LSU pride and my friends fricking know it. I rep the hell out of LSU. My SO is a fan of the school in the northest, and I have Stovall photos, signed footballs, and LSU swag around, but refuse to let there be anything crimson in the house. I had an old lady LSU fan throwing shite at me last year in Atlanta when we wouldn't sit down and we wouldn't STFU.

I'd say I'm two steps below obsessed, but I'm working on getting there. Where do you stand?

PS:

1) Relax on the fricking fence thing. LSU recruiting isn't an issue right now.
2) Please god no more threads on the school up northeast or their tiny little leader.

I live in Texas, and everybody knows I'm a huge fan. A lot of my friends aren't as into CFB as us Louisianians. They think it's a little strange that I care as much as I do but to quote Lebron- "I ain't got no worries"

I am much like what you described. Graduated from LSU in 1981, left LA for my career, married my college sweetheart and 8 moves later, never came back to lice in LA (yet). But my love for the state, the people, the culture, and LSU has not only endured, but is stronger emotionally attached than ever. Will always be my home away from home. Even my son, who was totally brainwashed on LSU, and yet never lived in LA, was a legacy alum from LSU having recently graduated. He now lives in ATL, but his heart is in LA and with LSU.

I start working for a shop out of Tallahassee tomorrow morning, all FSU fans with one gator fan.
I have all my LSU cold weather gear pulled out and made a special trip today to get more. Not sure what this says

If obnoxiously obsessed is a 10 and a P&G shirt on gameday is a 1, then I'm probably a 7-8.

FSU fans are easy to get along with, for the most part. Tallahassee is the only college town that does it close to how BR does it on game day. It's 99% of the UF fans that are terrible, terrible people to be around.

I cringe at the head to toe LSU fans in the airport. There is an inverse relationship between apparel and football knowledge. I also find fewer alums decked out in LSU stuff out of state.

I'm a die hard, but don't puke LSU everywhere and my personal happiness is not tied to the games.

I live in Georgia. Work in Alpharetta. Although my first job was for the LSU Athletic Department, I never attended LSU. I rep LSU big time during baseball and football season. I guess more so baseball because I used to go to all the baseball camps growing up. I am like the OP, I married a Bama Alumni. But she did go to anesthesia school at MCG so there is a bit of a buffer. I like that she went to Bama because she is actually a football fan. All in all, I love Louisiana, but I will never live there again. We already have 2 acres with a house in Pensacola on the water that we will retire to.

I currently reside in LSU hell. I proudly make it known I'm from Louisiana. Can't wait to move home. I travel all over the country and internationally for work, always wearing something lsu when traveling.

My personal rule is if I go on a road trip for an away game, I always wear LSU gear when out and about. Went to Seattle in 09 and wore an LSU shirt every day we were there. Now the head to toe guy is a different breed.

Live in GA and married to a Bama fan myself. We jab each other all year, watch the NFL draft together, watch all LSU games, most Bama games (blowouts we flip), and any other SEC game or OOC matchup we think we will be fun to watch. Im LSU all year long though. It started as a basketball fan watching Shaq, but I followed those 90s KY teams pretty close too. As Ive aged, I watch far less basketball and havent missed an LSU game in at least 6 years (minus the few i couldnt catch from my location, gonna miss tigervision though). I would say 8.5+ during the offseason and 11 during...

Does anyone want to go in halves w/me on those dual color (P and G) pants? You know, one of us buys the purple pair, the other buys the gold, we split them at the butt seams, and make two pairs of one purple legged/one gold legged pants?

I'm a 34 in the waist.

I often where P&G, although not necessarily LSU branded gear.

I find that Toonces is a much better indicator of trashiness.

I attended LSU in late 70's/early 80's. I'm now retired and live in north Georgia near Athens/UGA. I regularly attend a men's religious group 3 - 4 times a week in Athens, and wear P&G garb at least 90% of the time. I've been asked how many LSU shirts/hats/jackets do I own..... all I say is "a lot"!! I get shite all the time about being a Tiger fan, but I AM DAMN PROUD OF MY SCHOOL AND TEAM(S).

UGA fans can STTDB!!!!
