Spin: As he was going into the end zone, Bell took a helmet-to-helmet shot from Baltimore's Jimmy Smith. Both players appeared to suffer concussions, and Bell's touchdown was ultimately overturned, as the play was ruled dead once he lost his helmet. The Steelers ended up scoring two plays later but couldn't come up with the two-point conversion to tie the game. Given that he took an ugly shot and lost his helmet, it won't be surprising if Bell misses time beyond Thursday. His absence would leave Felix Jones and Jonathan Dwyer in the Pittsburgh backfield, though Bell does have some extra time to recover before next Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Prior to suffering the injury Thursday, Bell piled up 73 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, adding 63 yards on seven receptions. He ran hard throughout the night, breaking tackles on a consistent basis, and squeezing out extra yards against a tough defense. Most of his rushing yardage came on one 43-yard scamper, but Bell didn't have much room to work with, and he was a strong contributor in the passing game. Hopefully, the injury wasn't as bad as it looked. It's a good sign that Bell was able to walk off the field under his own power, even though it took him a few minutes to get up.
