I'm glad we have him but I knew this would happen when they signed him to that contract. We don't have any money for anyone else. We lost several good linemen because we couldn't afford them. JMO!

Eh, the Saints weren't going to go out and sign big name tackles/center in the offseason, anyway. I don't doubt Brees will restructure his contract. You have to understand the player mentality is that they want the biggest number announced so they can stroke their ego but they realize eventually they'll never see the full amount.

Brees' health depends on freeing up money to protect his arse. He better look to restructure or we may as well draft his backup this year.

Seattle can afford defensive players because Wilson is playing on a half million contract per year. Not typical in today's NFL.

Brees will restructure because he wants to play a few more years. He's smart enough to know that won't happen if he keeps taking the hits he has this year.
