Tikka T3 scope Mounts

I have had my Tikka in .300wsm for two years now and have had a Nikon Buckmaster on it with the factory Tikka rings. I just ordered a Monarch 3 in 4-16X50. I am now looking for a new scope mount and am torn between the Talley 2 piece mounts and the DNZ one piece mount. Any advice on which route to take? I do not have a picatinny rail on this rifle. Thanks.

Either are nice choices. I've always gone 1 piece with larger calibers. You def need to change though. The base and rings that came with mine sucked. They're almost molded plastic. In fact 1 screw stripped and one broke while I was changing them. Anyway, get either of those or some leupolds and your golden.

Hill Country Rifles says that the DNZ one piece can actually decrease accuracy

Love the Tikka T3. I'm well on my way to having a complete set.

I've always been a leupold fan, but I like talley mounts as well.

I have talley rings on my T3 with a Zeiss Conquest. I've had it for 3 years and never had to make any adjustments. It's my beat up woods gun and it pretty much stays in my truck throughout hunting season. Hope that helps.

What does this even mean? You have one in every available caliber?

I guess I should look into new mounts for my T3. Although I dont shoot it enough to matter, I would like it to be as reliable as possible when I pick it up.

Where was the best price for this scope?

I just ordered the Burris Zee base and rings for my new Tikka. Read a lot of good about them. Can't talk from experience though.

I went with the DNZ mount and have been very pleased. I also have two rings (optilock) that came with the Tikka I'm willing to sell if anyone is interested.

In my opinion, the best set of rings is the Burris Signature Z rings, the ones using the plastic inserts. Using these rings, one can avoid the need to lap the rings. I now use only Signature Signature Z rings and Weaver base (usually a 1 piece base) whenever I mount a scope. The one piece base/ring combo like DNZ can limit your options in how you position the scope in the rings.

I got it on Amazon for $433 yesterday. It is usually $509.

Today it is back to the original price.
