i think he'll wait for an SEC job. I bet he has WKU dominating their conference in a year or two and someone will be desperate enough to hire him.

He's seriously damaged goods and persona non grata among SEC AD's. He's looking at having to do his career over. Being a notorious a-hole doesn't help.

He would be a good fit at Florida

I was surprised USC didn't go after him. Not sure why they settled on the Washington coach.

Because he hasn't coached anywhere out west since 1997 and has never had any firm ties to the west coast as a major coach. He had small gigs out there before but he really doesn't know the area and it'd be tough for him

He will go to somewhere here in the south or the east coast in aboutb2-3 years.

West Virginia might be looking in about 2 years.

If he is still at WKU when that job opens up I can definitely see it happening.

He's radioactive. Every AD in the nation saw Jeff Long holding back tears on the podium and imagined themselves in his place. He might get a shot at a desperate lower tier school, but I'd be surprised if he landed a big time SEC gig ever.

I could really see this happening, the program is really bad off and they will not get any larger names, why not if you are WF

If UF opens it's wallet and gets Petrino as OC/ Asst. HC, UF is crazy scary.

There's no way Petrino would accept an OC position. Too much ego.

Frick him anyway.

I don't get the Petrino is a giant risk thing. The dude is obviously a really good football coach. He may not win any Mr Personality awards, but what has he done wrong? Bill Clinton is still admired & revered, and he was no less a horndog.
