Godchaux and Willis will both play DT. Still recruiting Valentine and McDowell. And I agree with your take. This was the biggest difference for our D this year, lack of a deep rotation. Needs to get back next year. Hope thise young pups are ready.

Willis, Lacotour, Gilmore, Thomas, and Bain will probably be the guys.

Maybe Travonte Valentine too if he gets here in time for fall camp. Young but talented group

Would have been nice to play some of the young guys to get them some reps. They couldn't have been much worse than what was already out there

Willis is going to be a DE. Book it.

Travonte and Godchaux will play DT

Willis and Clark will play DE

It's kinda funny that everytime someone sees a guy weighing north of 260 pounds that they automatically say he'll play DT.

Its not just me. Everyone says DT and thats where he's slotted in rankings. We will not have a 290 lb DE under Chavis. Willis will be there next year. Maybe he plays some end but i doubt its much. Herron came in just about 260 and he's gonna end up inside as well. Even Bower has been discussed as a DT down the road. Its what we do. The quicks are more of an advantage inside than outside. Can he play DE? Of course but he doesn't fit it in our system. He's bigger than Godchaux is and has enough frame to add more. At DE he fits a 3-4 better. Not a knock on him just how his body is

Oh, God! This stupidity again. They could have been a lot worse. In fact, they WOULD have been a lot worse. Lacouture was barely strong enough to hold his own. Since he got the most playing time of the freshmen, I assume he was better than the others. And if he was any worse he'd have been skating behind the linebackers.

McDowell is the real deal. He can easily put on 40+ pounds and not lose a step. Extremely athletic and appears hungry. Once he realizes he can't take plays off in college he can be dominant. I personally think he's the most underrated prospect in La. this year.
