I don't get the point of that article. Saban said nothing wrong, he could be nicer, but it isn't like he started being an a-hole this week.

I am sure Chavis is giving a clinic on defending AU and the Ags...maybe Saban could come. Then he wouldn't have to be a meanie.

But, but Alabama fans are way better than ours!!!! Watch and see the ship over there start to tilt. Fans killing each other, death threats. And just wait until little Nicky pulls up and leaves after this year because the pressure on him to win over there is a monster. Those fans are raging with rabies.

This isn't about why kids go to BAMA. It's about how we keep hearing about how important mom an dad are in recruiting, yet this shite is what they get at BAMA.

Who would you prefer you kid play for?

Hootie's mom thought otherwise

He kept asking me what I thought and I just told him that Alabama was more genuine on how they were going to treat him and take care of him for the next four years.

Do Les Miles and Chavis not consistently put first round DBs in the NFL?

Said by Hootie Jones' mom.

He's not incorrect in what he says. It's the point that it doesn't need to be said. College coaches especially shouldn't throw players under the bus. But, like you said, Nick's always done that and been that way. Not like it's the first time

This is such BS!!!! Just man up and come out and say you want to play for Alabama. "Alabama was more genuine". "Alabama recruited me the hardest". "I thought LSU would do more when we went on the visit". This is all a crock of shite

She's welcome to. Just curious how she would feel about this (and the myriad of other evidence to the contrary of her thoughts about the relative genuineness of the two schools).

If you want a championship and think BAMA will get you that, fine. Just say that. But you're willfully ignoring reality to believe that he will be cared for and looked after better with Saban at BAMA (or anywhere else) than with Miles at LSU.

IMHO

I wonder if he tells them "Look, if you come in and you're a baller then you'll play a lot. If you don't live up to the hype, you'll be "injured" and get a medical hardship"

Yeah, seriously. It is like the writer just has this opinion of Nick and took his benign statements and tried to mold a story that fit his opinion.

I have been telling people this for years. CLM never tosses his guys under the bus. Nick does it every time something goes wrong...

The other good one is something a former player told me about NS. His first day reporting speech is along the theme of "I don't care what you were told when you were recruited - today your arse is mine..."

Narrative >>>> Facts

Gotta admit, Bama has become masters at creating the favorable perception. And they use all tools avaialable, from the REC to Twitter to Quality Control Assistants (non-coaches)

Obviously it needed to be said to answer a question. That is what is wrong with these writers and their blurbs, they don't frame up a comment in context. They take their opinion and make a comment fit it.

If Saban is asked what happened on the blown coverage, why cant he answer? Hell, if he says no comment, people call him a real a-hole.

How do we know it is perception and not reality. I don't hear many of their ex players (role players) that come out and blast their treatment while at Bama.

I am a huge Tiger fan, but some act as if Bama is some foreign entity. They have built a good program, they have great facilities, they have a ton of publicity, and they will be in the hunt for NC after NC as long as Saban is there. Not a bad gig for a HS stud.
