None of us had a dog and we lost quite a few specks and snows in high grass each hunt. I hate that and will prob be purchasing a new dog once we r in our new house. Hope every one had a great Holiday! Also had a banded speck yesterday.

Water or dry ground?

There is a lot of pod info on his board if you search. Or you can email me

I am no means an expert but I consider myself a goose hunter first

One spot is water and rice. The other is rice but has a small area of dry.
My speck dekes are floaters and have done well when geese are already low. Fog or clouds or what not

Ducks have been slow so im needing to kill something

Geese are harder to kill over water IMO

And having one side dry one side water just assume be all water to a goose
