Neither Florida nor Nebraska are open. Both ADs issued statements saying no hc changes will happen.

Muschamp lost the team. Insane that he can survive that. Good for UF opponents next year

Any chance Michigan fires Hoke? I know there were some rumors a few weeks ago.

How much do we think that UT can pay their next coach? They money they're going to offer should put other schools to shame.

Texas
Florida
USC
Nebraska

Texas - Pros Major state school. State full of talent. All the money in the world. Pretty much runs their conference. Has own Television network.

Florida - Pros State full of talent. Lots of Money. In the SEC. Cons One of 3 major in state schools (although the only one in the SEC)

USC - Pros Major media school. Decent in state talent, but a school that can recruit nationally. Has a "cool" factor in LA. Pretty much in a three team conference.

Nebraska - Pros Historical powerhouse. In the Big 10 which gets lots of money from their TV network. Besides that...

And fixed back.

Might be a con for fans that can't get it - or for whiner Mack who complains about it and tries to blame losses on it. For a coach that can take advantage of it and realize how useful it is, it can be an incredible advantage.

You think a coach like Saban or Briles want to come in and deal with all the bullshite that comes with the Longhorn Network?

Don't buy the "all the bullshite that comes with the LHN" line that Mack has fostered. Both ESPN and IMG have indicated that they will tailor the programming/time commitment to what a coach wants. This was true of Mack as well. The LHN was great from Mack's point of view until everything went to hell - then it became one of his many scapegoats.

Texas football might be the best head coaching job in all of sports.

They don't expect National Championships every year, best talent base in the country, most money, best facilities.

An average coach and good recruiter should win 10 games every year there and sit pretty.

Barry has taken advantage of Texas HS football talent like no other coach, including those at Texas, ever has. Royal is second.
