Two days late, I know. What really impressed the hell out of me was bringing pressure on the Hogs that last drive and forcing that turnover! I've been out of town hunting, so tonight was the first time I saw it on TV. AJs 99 yard drive was an instant classic, but it sure was nice not to see a "Prevent D" at the end.

What I wanna know is why we didn't do it sooner. Why wait until the game is on the line to get aggressive on defense? We pressured JFF and it worked great, but we come out in the same old soft zone against Arky and we make their mediocre QB look like all SEC material. What is with this coaching staff? It really does seem like sometimes they see something that works and then abandon it.

Is it to much to ask for the linebackers to pick up the TE after he releases?? They screwed that up all day long and it put 14 pts on the board for the hogs.

The defense did play well late in the 4th qtr though. THANK YOU

I know, right? It's almost like they make different gameplans against different offenses! Crazy!

The defensive game plan our coaches had against Arky almost cost us the game.

Sure, and if we blitzed the entire game and got torched by screens and draws, you would've been bitching about our inability to adapt. And your criticism would ultimately be identical to this one; the gameplan almost cost us the game.

The point is, the coaches make the calls that maximize our ability to succeed. It doesn't always work. But acting surprised that we don't do the same thing all the time is asinine.

Arkansas ran the ball; A&M didn't even give it a shot. A&Ms game plan was plain awful.

Six rushing attempts from their running backs, SIX! Against a defense that averages allowing 180 yards per game on the ground.

That was the difference.

Yep, LSU 's weakness is DT, and MLB, then Safety last. Run at the MLB and between the tackles and win...

That 99 yard drive made up for the entire game for me

They probably say a TE can catch the ball? They never see it in practice.

Our D always makes the game a hell of a lot more interesting than it should be.....it's a trademark this year what with the personnel and gameplan.

Not just DT, the entire D line as a unit.

I'm hoping to see that problem get fixed for next year.

Arky ran some really good route combos to free up their TEs and WRs. there were essentially pick plays all over the place.

Not true. We've been getting solid DE play most of the year. Our defensive problems are exactly what another poster wrote earlier in this thread: DT, MLB, Safety.

with DT being our supposed strength going into the season.
