I normally debone them and make sausage but I'm thinking about trying them on the grill. Anyone have any recipes? I was going to go to the food board but I think I can get better input here. I tried looking up recipes for deer ribs online but the only thing that shows up is venison ribs, whatsever that is. Lol. What ya got.

Venison might taste like deer. Maybe more gamey

Had some this weekend. I boiled them for an hour. Let them cool. Put dry rub on them then refrigerate overnight.
Grill very low then apply wet sauce at end.
They are ok but they aint no baby backs!

So, in your opinion, are the worth the trouble or should I just debone and process?

Just try em and you decide.
There wont be a lot of meat like a beef or pork rib. Also the bones are very skinny and long. You'll need a big pot to boil them.
Good eats.

People actually keep the ribs?

Thanks I'll try it. I already cut them down to size so the bones are only 6" long or so.

We boil em first, then put them on the grill.

The deer ribs I usually end up with have a pretty good size bullet hole in them. Not exactly presentation worthy BBQ.
