You can say I'm wrong if you'd like.

But you'd just be lying

It could be smallville, Kansas for all I care. Rap fricking sucks, it's dumbed down and has generously helped to kill the music industry with its simple to do, copycat inspiring bullshite.

Only Houston rapper I like is Bun-B. I tried to get into Killa Kyleon because he had that Fish Fry mixtape with Mouse On Tha Track but just wasn't feeling him.

They aren't even making their own music anymore.

Last night Eminem just wrapped over a rock song. He straight up sang the chorus.

UGK and Scarface are obviously legendary, but what top albums have come out of Houston?

Please don't say Chamillionaire mixtapes or any stupid shite like that.

I'm not speaking of just albums. I'm talking about the music in general

Bun-B, Z, Pimp C, Slim Thug, Trae, Screw, etc etc

Yea New York is not only the birthplace but it is the true capital of hip hop. Although I do love me some H-town rap.

I love Houston rap. With that said, New Orleans is the mecca of rap in the south. No Limit and CMR put the south on the map back in the early-mid 90's. Before that no one ever talked about Houston or ATL. NOLA > H-Town > Dallas > ATL

You can't mention Mike Jones though man. Come'on. That dude is pathetic. Only track he ever sounded halfway decent on was that Day 2 Day Grindin'. My favorite H-Town/TX rappers though:

Chamill
Z-RO
UGK
Scarface
Chalie Boy
Slim Thug
Killa Kyleon
Paul Wall
Trae (Nicest one of all of them currently. His new tape is hard)
Lew Hawk
LBP
Keke
H.A.W.K
Tum Tum

Screw > Ron C > Watts
