New upscale whiskey bar coming to Baton Rouge

A good friend of mine and his fiancée are opening the Lock and Key, a whiskey and wine bar, at College and Corporate, where Glen's was. They should be in business by mid-December. We got a sneak peek last night and it was real nice.

Sounds nice. Between this place, The Pelican House and The Cove, BRPD will be set up there permanently doing checkpoints.

Cigar friendly? I typically don't partake, but I have close friends that drag me to Churchill's not infrequently, and I'd prefer a different location

I think the plan is to make it non-smoking. They weren't letting people smoke in there last night.

I can live with that. I prefer non-smoking, but like I said, was kind of looking for a Churchill's replacement.
Now, if a place allows for cigs but not cigars, they are all but crossed off of my rotation
