I feel like I'm going to hit many of the cliches with this post, oh well.

We outplayed them. Even our backups.

He refs had some questionable calls. Four fouls in a row after allowing them to foul us?

We didn't play up to our potential. Once this lineup gels, we're going to be a terror. Teams will not want to play us in a month.

I agree. Not taking anything away from Memphis, bc they are a good team, but I think we were better. Lost our composure a little bit, just can't turn the ball over like that. I seriously doubt we turn the ball over that much again this season. This team gets better and better every game, can't wait to see us against Butler tomorrow. This is fantastic experience for the team, win or lose

We almost had the timing, that would have been a huge slam at the end and brought us within 2 again. We missed 4-5 monster oops yesterday that I think we'll have timed better pretty soon.

we're good. as long as we can avoid our weekly 5 minute droughts, we should be in the tourney.

LSU played better against St. Joseph than it did against Memphis. Yes, they are young and yes, they will get better, however, other teams will also get better. LSU is going to be a lock for the big dance next season. They will probably be a bubble team this year. The losses against UMass and Memphis are going to kill them come selection time.

Umass and Memphis are legit teams. Won't kill us. It won't help us but it won't kill us.

We shot ourselves in foot by trying to end their run by jacking up bad 3s early in clock. Job for whatever reason tends to get picked on by refs though. Last night he had some questionable calls go against him. If you call the moving screen on job I have no idea how they missed them on Memphis because they were moving and hooking on screens.
The refs got under Micky's skin late too which is why I wish jj would have used a to. Get them under control.
Hopefully can learn and beat butler

LSU needs to turn up the heat on D. Memphis really did this for the last quarter of the game and that is what caused us to come unglued. We need that D to compete and win versus the better teams...

that last illegal screen call on johnny was horrible. i was ok with some of them but damn, come on. 24 turnovers...not gonna win many like that. butler will be a nice W. going to have to play tough, expecting a ton of fouls.

How? Both are legit teams. Its not like we lost to a team ranked 125.

Because the SEC is so bad that we need wins against possible tourney teams like UMASS and Memphis. As of now, we are going to have to be really good during SEC play to get us in without having to win the conference tourney.
