LSU doesn't even typically try to block punts. When you have guys like Peterson, Mathieu and Beckham returning punts, setting up for a return instead of going for a block is much more conducive.

Seems like we would still try and surprise the other team with an attempt every now and then. Have seen several over the last few years that we could have easily blocked

PP7 picked up a blocked punt against Ole Piss in 2009 and ran it back for a TD

I can't remember either.....but I would think that in recent years we went return a lot instead because we had dynamic returners.... Peterson, Mathieu, ODB
