The Little Big Cup located in Arnaudville, LA.

I shouldn't even post my pics. The ones on their FB page are much better.

So, I only heard about this little coffee shop/restaurant about a week ago. It's been open about a year, started off as a coffee shop, and it has already had to expand.

It is quaint and charming. I loved the ambiance and the decor. There are two dining rooms as well as a lovely deck for outdoor dining (when it's not so cold). Let me say it again, charming! Loved the look of the place.

We made reservations for 1:00 for their Thanksgiving Buffet. On a non-Thanksgiving Day, they are open for lunch and dinner. There are menu items ( menu), daily plate lunch specials, Sunday brunch, Friday night seafood buffet). Check out their Facebook page.

This seafood dressing was delicious. Well seasoned, flavorful, moist, distinctively seafoody, shrimp and crawfish not overcooked.

Roast Pork with Chardonnay Pears. Excellent.

While this is a very unflattering picture of the beef, it was good! Rare and flavorful. I had it with horseradish.

The cornbread dressing, one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving, did not disappoint.

I skipped the mac and cheese, the green bean casserole (my husband gave both of those two thumbs up) and the candied yams. I went with roasted root vegetables (delicious) and creamed spinach (would eat again, and again).

I was too embarrassed to take a pic of my plate when it still had everything on it! There is a cup of pumpkin and butternut squash soup that I didn't take a good pic of, but it was tasty.

I haven't had dessert in a long time, so I was excited to have some. The pecan pie was gone by the time I was ready, so I had a little bit of the bread pudding as well as three kinds of cake balls. (I've never had cake balls and figured I'd love them.)

The white chocolate bread pudding was delicious! Firm, but not dry, moist, but not wet. Would eat again. Cake balls? Meh. I don't know what I expected. They were denser than cake. Too sweet. However, this was good for my calorie intake, because I took one bite of each and left the rest. IMO cake >>> cake balls.

Other things on the buffet I didn't try: Mashed potatoes and gravy, pork backbone stew, chicken and sausage gumbo, roast turkey, cranberry sauce (my husband loved the cranberry sauce), pumpkin pie, petit fours.

All in all, we were very satisfied with our experience and the meal. I want to try it out for lunch with some of my girlfriends, and also my husband and I would like to go for Sunday brunch (which I've heard from a friend is very good). The Thanksgiving dishes were home style and good. Each dish could stand on its own.

PS - I've resized a couple of those pictures again and again. Sometimes it takes photobucket a while for the resizing to show. Hopefully they will be correctly sized by the time you view this post.

Excellent review. That was more than enough to entice us to give this place a try, although it is a little out of the way from south Lafayette.

Now to rub it in: I had delicious cornbread dressing and turkey leftovers for breakfast. Have a great day.

You're right that it is a little out of the way. Our drive there was sort of funny. I knew we should either head north on I49 and take the Grand Coteau/Sunset exit, then head east. Or, backroads out of Breaux Bridge to Arnaudville. My husband decided to put the damn address for the restaurant into the GPS, which tried to steer us what I knew to be the wrong direction. So I used my smart phone to tell us the way, and they conflicted. Then my husband put it into his smart phone. Again, the GPS kept getting us to head west instead of east. In the end, the correct way was EXACTLY THE WAY I SAID IT WOULD BE. We had three devices telling us incorrect and conflicting directions the entire way.

That's one of the best boo fays I've ever seen, though I can't say that I've seen very many. It all looks and sounds delicious. I love the ambiance there. I'm going to put it on my list. I'm so glad you had a successful Thanksgiving meal!

I don't trust GPS systems. They don't know country roads for sure. One time, a friend and I were going from Fort Worth to Wimberley and the thing had us get off the highway to the left and go in a very long semi circle for an extra hour back to the same road. I tried to tell her not to do it, but she insisted. ARG!

There aren't many good ones in my experience, but there are definitely exceptions. My experience is limited, though.

Looks charming, I certainly want to check it out.
I may surprise my wife a girls on one of our Sunday drives we like to take.

Thanks for a great review.
