With 3 WRs verbally committed and possibly 3 more with Noil, Dupre and Quille committing, who is the odd man or men out. How many do we need. Boone and Wright are gone and Landry and Beckham most likely also. How many, and who do we sign.

You sign every single one of them. There is no odd man out.

Williams will be a 1 year guy, so he's not being looked at as a roster casualty at the position.

Agree with both of these (although the second point is less of an opinion than the first).

I'm not a huge advocate for saving roster spots for recruits in classes beyond the present year (even in Fournette's case.. I just don't like the idea of being extremely thin at a position). This is such a banner year for WRs in our state, that we have to lock down as many as possible.

Im not so much sold on DJ Clark, yet. What position is he being recruited to play at LSU?

If WR, I would think he would be the least talented frosh going into next year.

chark is rumored to be used as a corner. he will be a guy that probably works out on both sides at first.

I'm also hearing Chark may switch to DB and return kicks as well

DJ Chark is being recruited for WR

He plays physical, that's what caught the coaches eyes.

Still needs some growing, but they think he indeed still has some in him. He's probably 6'2" and a shade over 180lbs now at ASH. Do not know if he's maintaining that 4.4 speed (and awesome shuttle). That will be key.

Don't sleep on Chark, his tape is impressive. He may be this years diamond in the rough.

What about the big tall WR from Houston?? Are we still in on him after his visit last week??. I think he could be a real steal for the class, and a superstar in a year or two!

I like chark as an athlete on either side. I'm just telling you he received some information recently about possibly playing corner. Around the same time Paris talked to the coaches last and mentioned himself as a corner candidate.

Wide receiver, QB, and running back are a our main offensive weapons. We don't use tight ends hardly at all. I would stock up on as many talented wide receivers and running backs as possible.

I see that changing next year (of course, we've been saying that for years) - Cam will find a way to use Smith. The WR duo (OBJ, Landry) was just so good this year, and there wasn't as much time to develop chemistry between Mett and Smith. But, next year, after 2 years with Cam, and each other, I suspect D. Smith and AJ to become each other's best friend.

I agree, Smith and Jennings should be a deadly combo. With LSU not utilizing the TE much in the scheme over the past few years, I would expect we should see some walk in TD's by doing so next season.

Quinn, Noil, Dupre and Williams. Chark is not locked in at wr and Upchurch will be more hback than pure wr. Hes the guy that Cameron will utilize as an out of the backfield pass catcher. That play Neighbors had a chance to make last week would have been made by Upchurch. Regardless take them all. We know full well how wr prospects can fizzle fast. Outside of OBJ and Landry we are bare this year. Ton of potential with the guys on the roster but none have really shown me anything to this point. Competition will be good for all of them.

Would have really liked to see peterson this season. It's wide open next year. That's for sure.

As much as we want to believe all the WR's will be successful, history says someone will transfer, someone may kicked off the team, or another simply not have the ability to step up to the college game from HS. So the answer is you take ALL the available talent, because you never know perhaps how few will really have the ability to be another Jarvis Landry or OBJ!

With the WR's left on our radar I would take all 3. This is more WR's than I want in a class though. I would have prefered going in to this recruiting year that we would have paired the list down a little more. I would have liked a couple more linemen in the class.

In 2016 Bama is going to run roughshod over our defense. The reason will be the lack of dline in this class. All we'll have left from last year's haul will be those who weren't good enough to go in three years.
