I'm embarrassed personally.

We have more fans posting about our baseball team 3 months before the season starts than discussing an upcoming basketball tournament that has huge post season implications for a team ready to break out into the national spotlight.

And don't give me the winning matters bullshite. When we had Marcus Thorton and won the Sec, ranked in the top 25, we couldn't even scratch 12,000 fans in a critical late season home loss to auburn.

Wish we could get our priorities straight from a national relevance standpoint. NO ONE GIVES A shite ABOUT BASEBALL.
Hell I'm a huge fan too been to
Omaha 4 times. But we need to refocus our efforts to basketball. Where we can actually gain national discussion.

Yeah I'm mad. /end thread/continue on boxtards

Just relax. I don't give a shite about college baseball, but LSU has consistently won big over the last 20+ years. If the basketball program can attain some consistency (i.e. multiple NCAA tournaments in a row) you'll see basketball climb back to being the #2 sport at LSU. You gotta produce on the court if you want the interest of casual fans. That's just the way it is, not just at LSU.

I love basketball as much as I love baseball, but I think part of the issue is the basketball program has no consistency. We are on our 3rd coach since Daddy Dale retired. Success and attendance isn't built over night, not to mention LSU fans are flaky as they come. Just look at the football attendance (actual).

Don't worry bro, when the basketball teams approaches the level of competitivness as the baseball team, the fan support will come...

If you build it, they will come...

You somewhat have a point. But this is 100% false.

Name 3 programs out of 300 where basketball is the 3rd most popular sport. You can't.

Consistency is key. We've already proven we won't support even a final 4 team unless we can do it year over year.

But it doesn't change the fact every other program in the country still supports basketball over other sports even when they suck.

You're right....even for big SEC games you can move around and pretty much sit where you want!

I think an argument can be made that Ole Miss, Miss St, and USCe consider baseball the 2nd sport over basketball.

And LSU isn't the only SEC school where this is happening. If it were, that'd be a cause for concern. But like most SEC football schools, start winning consistently and the PMAC will fill up.

Nah you can actually attend the basketball games AND post about how many times you've seen Alex Bergman take infield at 11pm on a Tuesday.
