Terrence Jones since he has taken over as starting PF for the Rockets has averaged 14ppg/9rpg, while shooting .538% for 3 point land. The guy has been on an absolute tear this month playing underneath Dwight. Say he keeps playing this alright, how would you like a T. Jones + Asik for Anderson trade?

I know Ryan Anderson is our guy, and he strokes it like we all wish we could stroke a woman. But this would solve the Center problem big time. Plus we could reunite UK teammates and buddies (locker room chemistry anyone?). Jones is only 21 with a bright future ahead and only $1.5M contract at the moment.

Asik- AD-Aminu-Gordon-Holiday starters.
Smith-Jones-Evans-Rivers in the rotation.

Not saying to pull the trigger on this now, but maybe by trade deadline it'll be something to think about.

There isn't going to be an Anderson-Asik trade. Even if you value them as equal basketball players and equal fits, Anderson has the better contract. It doesn't balloon and you control him for longer.

Everyones making such a big deal about the ballon in Asik's contract. It's really not hard to work around. Don't resign Aminu or Steamer and there's an extra $6.5 million right there.

I like Terrence Jones. I liked him more than MKG.

I don't understand why everyone likes Asik so much. I'm being honest, not trolling, what qualities does he possess that make him better than Ryno?

he's not comparable to ryno because they play different positions, he is a very good defensive center and the pels are really lacking at the position. ryno is a sharp shooting forward that the rockets covet. i wouldn't do the trade simply because as someone already said anderson has been the mvp since coming back.

Stop because it makes too much since, right Jimmy?

And SuperSoakher, it's because he's a top 5 defensive center in the league who rebounds at an above average clip (especially on the offensive side) and isn't incompetent on offense like Stiemsma. If you hadn't noticed, there's a relative dearth of competent centers in the NBA right now. Is he a fair value for Anderson in a trade? No, that'd be trade rape by the Rockets. But I'm saying if Jones keeps balling out, he's super young and a definite asset, and would be worth packaging in that trade to make it a fair deal.

Obviously if Anderson is the spark that he's been for the majority of the season, we'd be looney tunes to give him away and we should no doubt keep him and ride the wave.

Well of course, but to me, Asik seems like he only does one thing and that's rebounds. His free throw shooting is horrendous and he's a liability in that aspect and I'm not sure if you can have him on the court because of that in close games coming down to the wire. Ryno to me seems like he's capable of doing a little bit of everything. Frankly, I wouldn't want to pay Asik so much money just to rebound, even though rebounding is very important and it can cost you games.

One good season. On a shitty team.

Also if you give them Anderson for a back up center, you're handing them a top 3 seed for the next 3 years.

Asik is overrated. Yes, I said overrated. Moreover everyone knows the Rockets don't want him so is trade value gets lower on a daily basis.
