Barrow says the team doesn't always listen to Chief.

I didn't see this posted. What a dumbass thing to tell a reporter even if true.

So basically he's saying what we've already known this year? The team lacks discipline and the one game they do it this year we dominate(aside from penalties)? Shocking.

Its also blown way out of proportion. This happens a lot when you don't trust the guy next to you to make a play, etc. You "think" you see what is happening and leave your position to attempt to make a play some where else, etc.

Happens at all levels of football I would imagine. Not "trusting" the scheme isn't a sign of mutiny or anything.

Chill.

It's the same on all levels of sports. Players want to do too much instead of sticking with the game plan

Likely has more to do with the fact that some of the players don't trust certain starters and their abilities if I had to guess.

Outside of the end of half schemes by Chavis, the players have simply looked lost and have had horrible communication. The scheme is still an issue at times, but not near as big of an issue as the the position coaching and personnel decisions at times.

This would also be a characteristic of young players and people who have not started long. They haven't learned to trust their leadership yet.

Now, they know.

pretty sure he meant it from a "guys are trying to do too much/ make plays" standpoint than going out there and blatantly disregarding their coaching.

I know noone wants to hear this, but Alabama does a great job of this...and the results speak for themselves.

Our guys are young and have grown this year. The aTm game will do wonders for their psyche moving forward.

Defense did not match up well with UGA who exploited young corners and had power running game to go with it.

Bama is going to exploit your weaknesses as well and with a power running game.

A&M only had Manziel who was off and LSU was able to man up on receivers and played very good in coverage without threat of worrying about a strong running game.

That was the difference.

Against Ole Miss the defense actually did their part, it was the offense that got greedy and Mett throws three picks and gets them in a hole they couldn't recover from.

They didn't play horribly, but given the long drives they allowed to Ole Miss and numerous 3rd and longs they gave up, they are very much to blame although not entirely.

This defense has had problems with youth, but people are overvaluing the A&M performance. Simply put, they are one of a few teams LSU's current defense under Chavis will match up well against. Any team with a semblance of a power game or that doesn't rely entirely on one player has shred this defense.

Don't be shocked if ark has some success with the run game. Not enough to beat LSU but they will get some yards on the ground.

This. FWIW, our lord Saban has even graced us with his thoughts on how hard it is to get players to trust their assignments.

They do run the ball well but they are last in SEC in passing. Need to stack the box and play man coverage. Should be enough to keep Arky in check.

Auburn had around 440 total yards and 21 first downs. They were moving at will in the second half, and I'm glad the clock ran out when it did.

I think a few of our fans really don't appreciate how much benefit LSU got from the weather in that game.
