5. Carolina
6. San Fran

2. New Orleans Saints
They've lost their past two outdoor games -- to Geno Smith's New York Jets and an undermanned (at the time) Brady. That is a little concerning if and when the Saints have to play tough teams outdoors in the playoffs. They have a difficult prime-time test awaiting at Seattle in Week 13, plus two games against Carolina. But this is a fairly complete New Orleans team.

The Saints rank third in Total QBR (71.3) and eighth in QBR allowed (39.5). They were ninth and 27th, respectively, in those categories last season. New Orleans is 4-1 against teams that currently have a winning record and 22-5 in its past two seasons with Sean Payton on the sideline. No team has a better record over that span (2011 and 2013 regular seasons).

SIAP. Just food for thought.

What week was it that Drew had a monster game, but 2 QB's, I think Pryor and Kap, didn't even complete half of their passes but each had a rushing TD, so their QBR was higher? I figure that would have been enough to scrap the idiotic system.

I just don't think it's a good stat. If I was a stat critic, very bad would appear in my review multiple times, of course in different forms. You've gotta switch your words up. That's part of the job. and I'm damn good at it. It's a grind. A truly thankless job. The bloggers get all the glory.

I'd like a subscription to ESPN the magazine for Christmas.

Hope this helps.

So they are worried about a 3 point loss to a division leading New England team where the Saints simply didn't put them away?

Did they ignore the fact that the Saints destroyed the Bears on the Road?

I won't deny the Saints haven't looked as great on the road as we'd hope, but that same Jets team beat New England.

I don't put much stock into the Tampa Bay game, because it was only the second game of the season and the offense just had a bad day.

That said, the Seahawks struggled to win at home against the Titans and Bucs, while barely beating a bad Houston team and a struggling Rams team on the road.

The Seahawks are 4-1 on the road with close games with games against crappy teams in Minnesota, Houston, and loss to a good team in Indy that the Saints loss against New England is better than.

In the end, the Seahawks are as inconsistent of a team as you can get.

Bottom line is this: if the Saints execute on both sides of the ball, they should win handily. I've seen nothing this season to indicate that the Saints cannot beat the Seahawks. The stats the defense has put up aren't exactly against low end competition.
