Auburn beats Bama; A&M beats Mizzou; South Carolina beats Clemson & Auburn (in SECCG); MSU beats OSU; FSU loses in ACC title.

I dont understand why MSU doesnt get more attention. If they were to beat OSU in the B1G title game, they would have a legit case.

Oklahoma State would be #1 I think; it depends on how far Alabama falls after Auburn. If still top 5, Alabama

Is this even a debate? It would be FSU vs Bama without a shadow of a doubt. Ohio State, Michigan State, Baylor and Oklahoma State would be the only other 1-loss teams in the nation. The Big 10 and Big 12 are really down this year and nobody believes those four teams are anywhere close to being as good as FSU and Bama.

So is the ACC. They have 2 top 25 teams in a 14 team league.

The Big 12 has 3 top 25 teams in a 10 team league

Why are you acting like the ACC is some juggernaut? Florida State, in this case, will likely have beaten ONE team that will finish ranked. ONE. You could definitely make a legitimate argument for Oklahoma State (even Michigan State) over them in this scenario.

ETA: No one believes those teams are close to FSU because of what's happened so far this season. But if FSU chokes against a team like Duke, then, uh... yeah, I'll believe Ok State/MSU could compete with them. Obviously, no one expects FSU to lose but this is the hypothetical.

Let me put it this way. Do you believe Ohio State, Michigan State, Oklahoma State or Baylor are capable of beating Florida State on a neutral field? Would you bet money on any of those teams beating Florida State?

Capable? Of course. Would I bet on it? No.

So in the ACC you have Florida State, Clemson, and who?

2 out of 14 teams are ranked. 14%

3 out of 10 Big 12 teams are ranked 30%

3 out of 12 Big 10 teams are ranked. 25%

Michigan St would have beaten

Ohio State (11-1)
Nebraska (8-4)
Minnesota (8-4)
Iowa (8-4)

In that scenario you could make a case for them
