Yea....now wait next Friday...it'll be Ol'Miss all over again. That's what frustrates me.

This to me is the most impressive win of the Les Miles era. LSU and Les Miles silenced the best passing offense in all of college football and did so with one of the youngest defenses in college football.

I was happy to see LSU play a complete game on both sides. Penalties were frustrating but still happy with the win. Didn't the read link because I will never read SI again.

Yep. Bunch of penalties. Game management. 4th and 1 go up middle. I now believe the management is on position coaches instead of miles.

The thing I struggle with besides the penalties and just stupid situational play calling is not being able to get your best players on the field no matter their age. Jefferson is an obvious upgrade at safety. Welter should at least be rotated at MLB each series or first down. Freak is not our 2nd best DT. Just watch the games and that's an easy inference. Beckwith should be getting snaps at LB not DE. He's fast enough to cover kicks but not play LB???? Robinson should have been playing earlier. With all that said I think the coaching job Saturday was an A+. Didn't like the 4th down play call but hey what game is perfect. I hope Miles can finish it off with a top 5 recruiting class. That win Saturday was huge in my opinion to the right the ship cause whether you want to recognize it or not it was going down.

Cope lands fumble had zero to do with LSU beating Bama. The game would've been closer for awhile until they adjusted and kicked our arse.

That said, I agree the defense looked a helluva lot better and the offensive gameplan was good. We still have a lack of discipline on the team and the position coaches like Stud do not belong at LSU and we can do better.

That was impressive last night. I think that is what makes LSU football under Les so frustrating. You see how good they could be and all the talent yet they always lay a few eggs every year.

You are correct and it is frustrating but something that doesn't get brought up often is that we seem to get everybody's best game when they play LSU... and when LSU isn't playing their best and the score is close then we get the eggs like Ole Miss. And LSU playing their best week in and week out is just not going to happen when you are talking college kids.

This just goes to show you how special the 2011 team was and then got rewarded(screwed actually) to have to play Bama a 2nd time...
