Saints has a history of drafting players and letting them rehab there rookie year Robert Meachem for example. Do you think the Saints should take a flyer on Aaron Murray and seating in next season so he could rehab his ACL.

I say YES. He's a virtual Drew Brees clone. He can learn for a year or two under Brees and CSP. Take a flyer in the 3rd end. WTH

I think he's very similar to Drew and could be a serviceable backup/ heir apparent within 5 or so years. Him and Brees had very similar college careers.

I say absolutely YES. Would benefit from a few years behind the GOAT and they are very similar players

Because i'd rather take a chance on getting another Hicks or Stills than waste a 3rd on a qb that won't even play for 5 years

While similar he's less athletic ( people forget drew running in college) less accurate, smaller hands, lower release.. Pass

There are a lot of people who are in serious denial about our future at QB. I know Drew still has some years left, but I'm sure you are all in the same boat as me when I say I do not want to return to mediocrity when he is gone.. I want our future guy to learn all he can from Drew while Drew is still playing.

I know that almost all of the leagues starters did not sit under the previous starter before becoming the starter, but the obvious and most significant exception is Aaron Rodgers.. He sat under Favre and is now arguably in the conversation for the best QB in the league. They have a similar HC, a similar offensive system, and Favre was a similar player to Brees (gunslinger). This leads me to the conclusion that we are best off following a similar path.

Draft our future QB in the 2014 or 2015 draft. Murray is suitable, IMO, but I'm happy waiting another year too.
