Just look what Arizona did to Oregon and Baylor losing to Okla State. Any top 16 team is capable of winning it.

16 is waaaaaay too many.

6 with top 2 getting a bye would be ideal IMO. Absolutely no more than 8.

In a 16 team playoff system no more free ride for Alabama.

Why is 16 teams too many? Some teams wait more than a month to play their bowl games and the championship game is about 5 weeks. 16 team playoff will take about 4 weeks to finish up. Why not 16 teams is the question. That seems about the right amount of teams. Meaningful games every week after the conference championship game is ideal.

You can not call yourself the NC unless you beat 4 top 15 ranked teams after the regular season.

No. You lose 2 or 3 games and you have no claim to a title.

Fixed format is a problem... Sometimes only two or three teams deserve to get in. Sometimes 8 or 10 need to get in. You'll never know until the season plays out.
