Only saw maybe four today.. Shitted on by two of them... Rice field near erwinville. Here's to what will probably be another disappointing duck season for me.

That area has never really held birds especially in recent years. I guess it is the lack of food with most of the agriculture in the area going to sugarcane. Krotz Springs has been okay, nothing spectacular.

Don't think I'm gonna go in the morning, it would only be me hunting by myself. And I'm O'fer my last 7 hunts dating back to my Stuttgart trip last season.. Just getting frustrating

I've heard Stuttgart Arkansas has a S$!^ load of ducks. I'll find out for sure tomorrow.

They are not around Lake Mary in Southwest Mississippi.

My advice hunt Stuttgart before January. The earlier the better.

Ducks are showing up here left and right in the Ms delta. Everyone is limiting out that I've talked to.

I got 4 old catfish ponds that we drained in order to rebuild next year grown up in coffee beans that I flooded to hunt this year...killed 8 mallards this morning between me and a friend.

Right now seems to be the best time for the area.

My farm is 14 miles from Stuttgart and has been pure shite from December to close for the past 5 or so years.

Please update after your hunt tomorrow. With that picture cotton posted from Almyra, you might be in good shape.

Bottom timber on the river is what the greenheads seem to prefer around there these days...

Just too much pressure in the fields around Stuttgart? We used to have some barnburner hunts in the White River NWR when water got right but I've never had too many good rice field shoots around Stuttgart. I will admit I haven't hunted around Stuttgart in probably 10 years though.

I have a friend that is in Stuttgart and he said they're loaded with ducks right now. The front coming Monday is certain to push more birds for the holiday.

I've got another buddy that is in Illinois this week deer hunting wishing he brought his shotgun, fwiw.

Good to hear that there is some action there right now. With the newborn I will only be able to make 1 trip this year in early January, so I wont get my hopes up too much.

I usually hunt the White or Cache timber 95% of the time over my rice field these days....Just seems to be where the birds are.

You will always be disappointed in erwinville other than the occasional late season evening hunt by moon light. There are no ducks in that area
