Athletes who were once insanely dominant, but are no longer, but still play?
Posted by theGarnetWay on 11/22/13 at 5:18 pm00
Well after the affair saga became public Tiger Woods hasn't won but a small fraction of what he used to.
Jeff Gordon is another one.
Both are still good, still making some serious cash, and playing / driving, at a pretty good level. But compared to what they used to do they both have seemed kind of average in recent years.
Anyone got any other examples?

He led the PGA in wins, but ok

So you really think he is winning like he used to be? Didn't he win 4 straight Majors at one point and hasn't won one in how long? Like I said, he is still playing well and making loads of dough but is anyone really going to try and argue that he is as dominate as he used to be?

Ray Allen, last year randy moss would have been the best example

Athletes get injured, and old and don't play at the same level?

Tiger is a terrible example. He's in a serious dry slump in majors but he has regained his spot as easily the best golfer in the world. He's not untouchable like he was in the early 00's but that's not something you replicate.
ETA: I kind of get what you mean if say "insanely dominant" and now aren't. The problem is there are very few examples of that. Dwight Howard was the most valuable player in the league for a couple years IMO. No way nowadays. Maybe him.

Thank God for Graham. If he wasn't on the team people would want Brees cut.
What
The only way Brees is leaving the saints is when he wants to retire
