Just wondering if he is just a verbal or officially signed? And if he is only a verbal how confident are we that he will sign with us?

Guy will prob be long gone by 2015 season. Doubt Mickey or Martin stay around long.

Actually, Mickey's NBA prospects won't improve until he develops more range offensively. 6'8 PF/C with not offensive range isn't a high commodity right now.

Mickey has insane upside and athletic ability to go along with his ridiculous length. You can't teach those things.

This is the deepest draft maybe ever though. I still think he will be a 1st rounder this year.

I don't like the Tyrus comparison. Tyrus was 6'9-6'10 legit. Mickey is listed as 6'7...not much room on rosters for 6'7 PF's in the NBA. He's a guy that can be an AA in college but doesn't project to the NBA that well because of his height.

He's listed at 6'8". Thomas didn't get that tall until LSU and afterwards.

He can still grow There's still more to see with Mickey's game too. I think he has the potential for a good 15 ft. shot which will help his game tremendously. I'm not saying (like some around here) that he's first round talent right now because it's ridiculously early for that. But, the guy has up-side.

I think we may be able to sell him on playing for a year with other top prospects but doing it closer to home than Lexington

Some sites had him as 6'8 some 6'7. So let's call it 6'7 1/2. And Tyrus was 6'9 his redshirt freshman year. Also, Tyrus grew like 9 inches in a couple months his last year of HS. Mickey has been about the same height for several years, he is most likely done growing. He also has zero offensive moves right now. He may be my favorite player, but ppl need to stop saying he's 1st round this year when he is lacking in size and offensive skill set for a PF. We don't post him up more because half the possessions end up with him walking or a TO. He's a great rebounder, hustler, and extremely athletic. Those are a dime a dozen in the nba, though

height doesn't really mean much if you have a long wingspan and can leap

Well let's say he's 6'8...he's 220...he can maybe get up to about 230...I can't see him banging in the post with 6'10 PF's. I think he's our most valuable defender, but we've also played all of 3 games, I think we need to slow down a little.
