I'm in Baton Rouge for work and the hotel I'm in doesn't have NFL network. Is the game simulcast on regular TV out here like in NOLA. I see the game is on Fox in the NO, but I can't find it on any regular station here in BR.

Just go to a sports bar. Does the hotel have a bar?

I could swear the last time I pulled up nfl.com on Thurs they had a live link to the game on their website.

They have an online stream on the NFL site, but it's pretty annoying. It's different from the on air broadcast. They have in studio discussion and commentary, and it's random when they actually go to the game.

No it's definitely on Fox in NOLA. A local broadcast station has always gotten national cable games in the local market as long it's a sellout.

Looks like I'll be going out, any recommendations for a good sports bar?

Well yea, the sellout part only makes a difference if the home team local market gets it. The visiting team local market gets it regardless.

It'll be on at most bars and sports bars in BR. Just pick one and grab a seat at the bar. It'll be a good time

Is BR in the blackout area if a game isn't sold out? If it is, seems like it definitely should also be in the area that gets a local broadcast for games like this.

I'm at the Microtel. I've watched a baseball game at the bar at Twin Peaks and it was alright so I might just try that, plus it isn't too far away.

no, local stations pick up the games. I live in Arlington, VA and the Redskins-Vikings game was on both local and NFLN.

However, not sure if BR falls within the New Orleans market anymore like it used to.

If I walk in to Twin Peaks 10 minutes before the game, will I be able to get a seat at the Bar or do I have to go really early?

Every season, I'm amazed at how many people are unaware of the local simulcast.

IT'S NOT A NEW THING, PEOPLE. GAAWWWHHHLLL.

If you are there by 6:30 you should be able to get to the bar. I think Twin Peaks also has CSC biker/car night tonight so I would get there as early as possible
