Good move IMO. It gives them the flexibility to re-sign Scherzer and Cabrera. Miggy can move back to 1B, while Nick Castellanos, one of Detroit's top prospects, can move to his natural position at 3B. Now if they can find/sign a LF, they're in great shape.

This was the big move Daniels was talking about. Now are the Rangers taking on his entire contract?

Great trade for both teams.

Wonder if Detroit moves Castellanos back to 3B.

The Tigers signed him to a nine-year, $214 million contract in January 2012. He still has $168 million remaining as well as a limited no-trade clause. Kinsler is signed through 2017 with an option for 2018. He is still owed $62 million, but his contract was front-loaded, so his salary gradually decreases throughout the remainder of the deal.

How much cash do the Rangers get?

Ok. I can deal with this. Thought he would have done better in D-town though. He will love that short porch in TEXAS.
