A guy at the processor today told my Dad that he didn't have to tag or report his deer harvest since his is over 65. My understanding is that everyone has to report the harvest, but he just doesn't have to have a license because of his age.

DWF website seems to be down so I can't look at the regs. What is everyone's understanding?

Kill

I'm pretty sure you have to tag a deer no matter what, maybe geauxt will chime in since he's well over 65

Yes you have to. Same with a child under 16. you can have them issued their own tags and report card for the season without getting a license

Just called DWF and they confirmed. Every deer KILLED has to be reported.

The only exception is DMAP which reports anyway.
