Tough call but Pacino's speech at the end of Scent of a Women is GOAT.

Pacino's speech in SOAW was awesome, but that movie really underwhelmed me. I am not a big fan of it. I am partial to "You can't handle the truth!" though.

Nicholson sat there, and did take after take of that entire speech, over and over again, so they could get the facial shots of the actors in the court room, delivering the lines each time with the exact same ferocity.

Few good men.

I didn't really like scent of a woman that much.

We can all only hope someone says this about us:
quote:

You hold this boy's future in your hands, committee! It's a valuable future. Believe me! Don't destroy it — protect it, embrace it. It's gonna make you proud one day,

good stuff throughout:

quote:

Women! What could you say? Who made 'em? God must have been a frickin' genius. The hair... they say the hair is everything, you know. Have you ever buried your nose in a mountain of curls... just wanted to go to sleep forever? Or lips... and when they touched, yours were like... that first swallow of wine... after you just crossed the desert. Tits. Hoo-ah! Big ones, little ones, nipples staring right out at ya, like secret searchlights. Mmm. Legs. I don't care if they're Greek columns... or secondhand Steinways. What's between 'em... passport to heaven. I need a drink. Yes, Mr Simms, there's only two syllables in this whole wide world worth hearing: pussy. Hah! Are you listenin' to me, son? I'm givin' ya pearls here.

Scent of Woman

While he nails the delivery of the speech, Jack's Col. Nathan R. Jessup is revealed to be a nothing more than a small minded thug with his grandiose claims of saving lives by defending Guantanamo from Cubans.

I do give A Few Good Men extra credit for using A&M's Corps of Cadets Fish Drill Team for the sequence that opens the movie though.
