If you can walk....... Don't park in the dome.

If you decide to park in the dome you don't need a pass, they have cash lots.

3 1/2 to 4 hours before game time.

ETA. There is plenty of off street parking lots around the dome. I get thete early and park on the side of the road. I havent paid to park in 4 years..

Takes about 15-20 minutes to get in the dome and into your seat especially in the Terrace Level.

I would get there early, chexk out the band a little while at Champions Square then an 1 1/2 or so before kickoff go checkout the Saints Hall Of Fame at gate B. Normally they have a former player or coach signing autographs/taking pictures. Be as loud as possible.

Also, I've heard this game might get moved to 7:30 PM so keep that in mind.

Don't need a pass. Thankfully our stadium is in the middle of the CBD and unlike other places you are not forced on to NFL run property with BS rules and regulations. Just park in a public lot they are all over the place. It's not hard. There are even tons of places to park for free. I never pay to park.

Champion square sucks IMO

Champion Square is the B

Parking

I usually can find a place to park at any parking meter West of Poydras. Just make sure it's a legal parking spot and not those Taxi or drop off only spots. You don't have to pay the parking fairy on Sundays

If you want easy access to I-10 following the games, the lots on between O'Keefe and Rampart are a good bet. They'll run you about $25.

Champion's square is a cool place to hang out if you don't know anyone tailgating, although it has downfalls. You can only bring 1 drink inside, so no ice chests, etc. And of course you can buy drinks inside but they'll run you dome prices.

If you're bringing a female, make sure she only brings a very small wallet (like 3"x3"), no purse. They wont let her in with it.

That's about all I can come up with atm.

Why not? I don't pay to park either.

ETA: but I do have a decent walk to and from the game which doesn't bother myself or anyone I go with.

I always park along the street next to Home Depot off Claibourne. Free and you can get the hell out of the traffic 10x faster.

Champions square is fun to check out. I usually hang out there for 10 mins or so before I go into the stadium for the atmosphere, etc... But don't drink there or spend all day there. It's ridiculously expensive and usually very crowded. Go to the ditch or that pizza place on girod whose name i can't remember and pregame there. Or Allegro. Those are good places.

Like others have said don't park in the dome. That's a nightmare of a mistake. Park for free in a lott or on the street.

As for other things:

Get there a couple hours early and bar hop for an hour and a half, get to champs square 30 mins before the game, admire the Gleason statue for 5 mins, then you'll be in your seat with a cocktail 15 before kickoff.

Can't go wrong.

ETA: good advice I forgot: makes ure your woman knows the clutch/clear bag rule. Or it will ruin your day. KNOW THE PURSE RULE!

Well sure if you drive far enough away from the dome there's free parking everywhere.

But to say "there's tons of places to park for free" to a guy who hasn't been to a game in 10 years is misleading. Especially on gameday, if you're unfamiliar with the area, its often worth the $20 to park.

NOTE: I definitely do NOT advise parking in the parking garages right up near the dome. If it is a close game that comes down to the end, you're looking at a good 2 hours to get outta there.

I would never park inside a parking garage. Fell for it once when it said $15. Now I just pay $20 and park at one of the lots when you get down on O keefe. Oh yeah, and people say it is easy to find free parking get there around 3 hours before the game starts.

Definitely know the purse rule if you're bringing a chick.

They will not let you in, you will have to walk back to your car and miss the first quarter.

I never said I was suggesting the cheapest lot. If you just take a second to actually read, you'll see I was suggesting the lots on the north side of I-10 that allow easy access back onto the interstate.

And no shite there's parking that's "way cheaper". I mean he can park in mid-city for free if he want to walk for 30 minutes. Any average retard can figure out that parking gets cheaper the further you get from the dome.

Come on people, whats with all the smug contrarianism?

Park at Harrah's
Gamble for a minimum of 30 minutes using a player's card
Get a drink or 3 for "free" while playing
Possibly win money
Park for "free"
Profit!

Great option if you're planning on gambling anyway.
