Can anyone dig this up or know it off the top of their head?
It'll be interesting to see if this Florida State team is close...
FSU's 2013 Team average margin of victory: 42.5 and counting.
The Seminoles’ 1993 national championship team had an average margin of victory of 33.4 through its first 10 games. The 1999 squad’s was 23.1.

Some team won like 220-0 in the early 20th century I think
Unless you're talking over a season in which case I have no clue

FSU's National Champion 1999 Team's average margin: 33.4.
The only stats you will find for the past are for the whole season including bowl games. The closest to 42.5 is Nebraska in 1995 with 38.7. With FSU still likely to play 2 of the top defenses in the nation still I would think that they wont beat that.

LSU's 1908 National Championship Team in 10 games
scored 443 points and allowed 11, a 43.2 difference. The games back then were shorter than 60 minutes.

I think 1910 Michigan team went 10-0 and outscored the opponents like 511-0. Do the Math.

Indeed, someone fooled me.

Impressive for the second-best team in college football that season.
