That's pretty quick for an ACL.
But it makes complete sense for them to use every single second of the time allowed by the league to see if he can come back.
If not, you IR him. No big deal.

was it a partial tear? ....something that could heal in 6 mo? i dont recall.
If not, i cant see 6 mo. 9 months is a stretch with that injury.

Hoping its is this savvy move by Saints.
If there were no chance at all for him to come back then why wouldn't they have already IR him?
