Ok, so I just want a clarification/conformation on this rule.

The way I understand it (as do a few others I've asked), you are allowed to take a doe with a bow during the rifle season, even though it is not one of the specified doe days.

Correct?

Sounds like MS where you can shoot either sex with a bow even though it is doe only for muzzleloader/rifle at some points

You are incorrect.... you must follow the bucks only regulations during the gun days...

this is what we all assumed too but I just didn't want to get busted by ole Green Jeans for shooting a doe when it isn't a "doe day"

WMA seasons are the same as outside except as noted below. An archery license is required for resident bow hunters between the ages of 16 and 59 inclusive and non-residents 16 years of age and older. Either-sex deer may be taken in all areas open for deer hunting EXCEPT when a bucks only season is in progress for gun hunting and EXCEPT in Area 6 from Oct. 1-15. In such cases, archers must conform to the bucks only regulations. Either-sex deer may be taken on WMAs at anytime during archery season EXCEPT when bucks only seasons are in progress on the respective WMA. Also, archery season restricted on Atchafalaya Delta, Salvador, Lake Boeuf and Pointe-aux-Chenes WMAs. (See WMA for details).

Well shite!

But is the just for WMAs?

I kinda thought that too but for the last few years there were no restrictions on does (except for early October). So I was just being hopeful I guess

That's what I thought about MS too, but I called to clarify and they said you can shoot anything with a bow all season, even when it is doe only during gun season
