I haven't watched the Falcons in weeks. Does anybody know how healthy they are?

Is Stephen Jackson still out? How banged up is their defense?

I'm legitimately worried about Thursday night - they can definitely try to get riled up for us. I do have a feeling however that it will be at least 1/3 Saints fans in the house - we have a tendency to take over the Georgia Dome when the Falcons are down (2009 pregame when Drew said that it was a "home game").

We legitimately may get 9 sacks and run for 250 yards.

So you're saying their defense is banged up?

PT traditionally runs will in Atlanta and I'd love to see us feed Ingram and give tiny Darren a bit of a rest. Have a feeling we'll be needing his services up in the Pacific Northwest in 14 days.

you should put our bank account on Falcons +9 then.

Thursday night games are tough on road teams, regardless of record disparity. Rams almost beat the Seahawks in a similar situation. Gameplan should be to run it down their throats and abuse their terrible Oline.

Here was Atlanta's injury report this past Friday

quote:

AME POS INJURY STATUS
Douglas, Harry WR Knee Questionable
Gonzalez, Tony TE Toe Questionable
Goodman, Malliciah DE Calf Out
Jackson, Steven RB Toe Probable
Jerry, Peria DT Toe Questionable
Peters, Corey DT Knee Questionable
Snelling, Jason RB Knee -
Weatherspoon, Sean LB Foot Probable
White, Roddy WR Shoulder Probable

Here were their inactives yesterday:

quote:

Falcons: DE Malliciah Goodman, S Kemal Ishmael, RB Jason Snelling, LB Omar Gaither, G Harland Gunn, T Sean Locklear, WR Brian Robiskie

Jackson ran 11 times for 41 yards but that was probably because they fell behind so quickly.

Douglass and Gonzalez both had 6 catches each. Here's the rest of their receiving stats

quote:

H. Douglas 6 134 22.3 1 80 9
T. Gonzalez 6 51 8.5 0 18 8
R. White 3 36 12.0 1 16 9
S. Jackson 2 24 12.0 0 12 2

The best news for us is that Tampa was able to gash Atlanta on the ground despite having injuries to their top two backs. They only had Rainey yesterday, which would be like us only having Sproles.

I watched the game yesterday and the Bucs completely obliterated the Falcons, the final score is in no way indicative of how lopsided that game truly was.

One thing is that the Falcons have Weatherspoon back at Linebacker, and in past matchups he has done well defending Sproles in the flats.
