Saints beat a strong, physical team that took advantage of N.O. turnovers, lost Sproles for a good part of the game, and STILL show up at the end. That's a damn good win. Every team in the NFL can win when everything goes their way, but winning like this shows guts.

Even if it was on the back of a pathetic call.

I didn't see the whole game, was there more than one? Surely there wasn't as awful as the "blow to the head" on the clear fumble.

The two intentional grounding call/no calls were questionable, as was the P.I. on White.

"blow to the head"

Brees was bleeding from the mouth, so I guess there was no reason to call contact with the head.....

Wait, you guys are being serious? No F'ing way.

I have no dog in the fight but that was a complete joke of a call. The only "butthurt" is that I invested almost 3 hours in a good football game only for it to be ruined by an official.

It's ok to admit when you catch a break.

I'll agree the rule kind of sucks, but it's pretty clear cut. Either you don't fully understand the rule or you're not very smart. Every objective viewer of that game who has a grasp of the rule agreed with the call.

When did this rule come to be? Maybe I am ignorant.

I know for sure last week an arm across the collarbone was not a penalty but I was pretty busy this week so it's possible I missed the news that it changed.

by rule it was the right call. you can argue that it shouldn't be a rule and that it's pussifying the league but by rule it was absolutely a penalty.
