I went with the xbox over playstation from the beginning (Because xbox and 360 were superior and xbl > psn) However, frick $499.

Both systems have similiar specs. Besides the whole "it's more than a gaming console" shite that I don't care about.

And 10 years ago you probably said "I don't need a camera on my phone," or "Why get a DVR, I have a VCR and a bunch of blank tapes."
You won't pay an extra $100 for Kinect and voice control, but you'll pay $400 for better graphics than PS3? For a console that's built to last for 10 years, $100 is a drop in the bucket.
I suggest doing some actual research into both systems before you spend $400 to save $100.
