Dominating bad teams is more predictive of future success than closely beating good teams. There is research on this. Look it up.
And Clemson is as good as TAMU.

I have to admit I have been a pretty unhappy FSU fan since they showed Bobby the curb. But this Seminole team is goddang good. If the quarterback can stay out of jail I think we may have a national title team here.

Sadly I didn't have a chance to watch the '99 team. But the older, well respected FSU posters on other boards have pretty much unanimously said this is the best FSU team ever.

You must be to young to remember the 93 team, they actually played hard teams. Sure they had one loss but they still played like 6 or 7 top 15 teams and won most of their games like 50-0.

Aside from the Clemson win, they've dominated minor bowl teams and below. Oregon was doing the same thing until they faced a defense.

Oh I know, thats why I said the 93 team was better! The 99 team was always awesome but IIRC the 93 team played a crazy schedule.
