Dont think they are a "package deal" like some teammates have been. Im sure they would like to play togather, but both will make their own decision.

Malachi is all LSU. And I think we are in good shape with KY, better than others think we are. He just isnt outspoken about his recruitment and all that. And hes not afraid to venture far from home. I think its between UCLA and us. Could go either way.

With all the talk about our current LB corps, I would think Young would be a priority for the staff, but it still doesn't seem like he is. Am I wrong in thinking that?

You're just full of questions.

But yes, I think they want to play together. I also think they don't play together unless Young goes to LSU, because I just don't believe that Chi is going anywhere other than LSU.

I think Kenny Young is all LSU, that's where he wants to play but sometimes I just wonder if we want him bad enough

No I think he is a priority. Hes just quiet when it comes to his recruitment. I have to believe that Garrett and Young are our top LB prospects on the board... Im sure our staff is giving Young plenty of attention. And if were not, its a mistake. There are certain positions where you have to watch your #s, and then there are others where you can never have enough. LBs, DBs, TEs, RBs and some WRs are the guys that make up special teams. You can never have enough of those guys.

And a lot of people think its either Garrett OR Young because they "play the same position", and thats not true. Young is a natural strong side LB(OLB) that has the ability to play inside. But hes better on the edge. If you have watched him play this year, that is very evident. Hes 6'2 220lbs with long legs and runs like a deer. He is also a great coverage LB and a sure tackler. He has the ability to play in the middle, but hes naturally a better player on the edge at the strong or weak OLB.

While Garrett is a "true" MLB. Minter was the last "true" MLB that we have had, and coming out of high school Garrett is a better looking prospect than Minter was. Garrett was made to blow up holes inside and take on blocks and clog up the middle of the OL.

If we get both, we take both. And we better be all over Young. I like Donnie Alexander a lot, but KY > DA. Im not even sure if Alexander will play LB or S for us.

Kenny any Chi are not tight. They are cool but not BFFs of any kind. I would be shocked if Kenny stayed close to home.

I saw Young play against St. Aug. (not a great sample size), but I see him at the SAM spot. Good tackler, and at least has the appearance of someone built to play on the strong-side. I definitely see what you mean about him. His length is pretty impressive as well.

He was always around the ball in that aug game. He had like 25 tackles if I remember correctly

That was a good game. Great to see two good players battle like that (Fournette vs. Young).

Yep... Like always I was impressed with LF, but that game showed me a lot about what type of player KY is.

Even if he did lose that "battle" (which I'm not so sure he did) he still stepped up and did everything in that game he could do for his team to win. I think that is what we are missing from out LBs this year. Someone who can step up and dominate the line of scrimmage to make the other team 1- dimensional

I agree, and I think we miss that from our front seven. That's why signing Garrett and Young is important IMO. Losing Minter was a huge loss for us.

We're recruiting Adoree Jackson's teammate Dwight Williams to be our other LB. This was on Adoree's recommendation because he wants to play with him.
