And drink! We aren't the party on bourbon St type so we need really chill piano bar type places for night time. But most importantly we need lunch and dinner recommendations. We have booked the hotel monteleone on royal st. and would like to stay relatively close. This is an anniversary trip so we want to do one nice place and the rest casual.

Thanks!

Get off the internet and go make a reservation at Iris for dinner one night.

Other spots to explore would be the Chart Room, Patrick's Bar vin, Cane and Table, Cafe Amelie, or shoot just sit in the Carousel Bar at the Monteleone and watch New Orleans go by. You could also head over to Frenchmen and visit Three Muses, Spotted Cat, and the other clubs down there. Stanley on Jackson Square is a good breakfast and lunch spot. Marti's just reopened and would be another good place to go for your anniversary dinner (besides Iris).

Enjoy your visit.

Then get out of the Quarter.

Take cabs to the Garden District, Uptown, Bywater, and Marigny.

But if you insist on doing things in the Quarter, you've really waited way to long to make reservations.

You can try:

Sylvain
Bayona
Irene's (No reservations required, might be a great choice for you, and they have a piano player there!)
Marti's (new place, haven't been)

Brunch at Cafe Amelie or Stanley

Drinks at Carousel Bar, Cane & Table, etc.

You might want to take a short cab ride at night rather than walking, but the bar in the Windsor Court sounds like the type of place you might want to chill and hear music. I love going up there for a nightcap.

I'm a fan of Cafe Amelie's brunch. Make reservations for the courtyard.

Check out the Ritz for the piano bar. Mayfield's Jazz.

Patrick's Bar vin

I have some fun drunk nights in this place. It's a mix b/w a gay techno and wine bar on some nights.

Awesome dining room. Highly recommend. Can't believe they don't have a website yet.

Wait a minute, there is food back there somewhere? I just get a bloody mary usually because they have the best in the city. My mind is blown right now.

Im not even certain Gautreau's has a website and they've only been around about 25 years.

Re Dis Taco, yes just opened about 4 (?) months ago. Same folks who run Killer Po Boys out of Erin Rose.

Take a cab to Delmonico on St Charles

Request the table in the front bay window.

Been wanting to make a trip back myself as of late.
