The benefits for comic book fans are that they throw around tons of characters and creator names from the comics. But it's just a bonus. The characters are all pretty different from the comics, so a knowledge of the comics doesn't add to the story itself.

This. I've read a ton of Green Arrow and constantly doing the salmon ladder has never been one of his powers.

I vacation in the Pacific Northwest so I can get a workout catching salmon as they jump falls and of course fight bears with my bare hands.

That pussy Green Arrow guy would probably have to shoot them with his arrows.

Arrow is awesome. Through the wonder of DVR and the benevolence of cable networks, I am able to catch up on shows I missed during their first run. I'm working my way through Smallville right now and on the 19th, Buffy starts over at the pilot on FX.

They air these shows between 3 and 6am. It's easy to let them record and watch them at your leisure.
