I hate to be that guy, but with thanksgiving around the corner why not throw the money that way?
It's his money and he can do what he wants with it, but I don't think this is worth an applause or something along that line.

Truth, it's not how much it hurts him, it's how much it means to the recipient. None of us would give up 5 hundge to some annoying guy in front of you in line.
