On Wed, Miles stated that "this program sustains itself". But I thought no one other than Miles could succeed as he has in the eyes of some?? Also, he lamented losing 2 games in a championship season. I though expectations of perfection are unrealistic?? He said to this years results "no, no we expect much better". So for those of us saying other coaches could succeed here even at a higher level because of the program and expecting NC and perfection every year still wrong?? Apparently Miles himself doesn't think so.

And we wonder why the team seems to quit. Attitude indicates leadership, apparently we have none.

I love these moronic strawman arguments that get posted on here regularly.

I think if you breakdown Miles' evaluation of what went wrong this year and how to improve it going forward you'll understand the difference between Miles and Negatigers. For example, I doubt he places any blame on coaches playing pet players as part of the problem.

See Miles exact words numb nuts. "This program sustains itself". Not "this coach", but this program. I know its hard to see Miles having same sentiments as those labeled Negatigers but I'm sure some will spin it to fit their narrative. I think Miles coherently said it best on program sustainability and expectations.

Wipe the drool off your Thomas the Train bib and read the statement I quoted from you. There is little doubt that there are several coaches that could run our program well. This doesn't mean we could or should fire Les and just have the next guy slide right in and take his place. See Tennessee. You could easily end up with Derek Dooley at the end of the gamble and have your program set back years.

What a fricking desparate idiot you are.

Did Miles say that in response to someone asking him about a coaching change??

My guess would be that it had something to do with upcoming recruiting battles or early defections, or just views that the program is in a down cycle.

But no, clearly he meant that LSU should get rid of him because no matter who the coach is LSU sustains itself all by itself.

And as one of Miles' biggest supporters, of course Miles' GOAL is to win championships every year. Whose isn't?

That doesn't mean he's a retard who should be fired if he doesn't. We all set goals for ourselves and our endeavors that we likely may fall short in.

"A man's reach should exceed his grasp."

Some of you fricks really are
comical.

First off, GFY!! Now read my comments, assuming you can through your Teenage Ninja Turtle mask numb nuts. Said nothing bout replacing Miles. Just that he himself debunked the argument bout only he being able to succeed here. Read what you want into it numb nuts.

The mans own words are what many on here are saying. Nothing bout making a coaching change was mentioned in the OP. Just about the argument that Only Miles can succeed and others would not. So have a great day and GFY!!

No, first off, light yourself on fire.

Second if you are serious with this analysis of what you believe miles was saying, then I seriously feel bad for the world if you reproduce imbeciles like yourself.

I've seen a lot of overly negative posts, and some that might be overly optimistic but I cannot recall ever seeing anyone say that "Only Miles can succeed and others would not."

Cognitive dissonance. You are using it to distort the meanings behind Miles' comments to fit your agenda with no regard to context. Typical Rantards.

Yeah, I'm surprised that someone that I believe is intelligent like CptBengal would actually attach his support to the OP's piss poor analysis. It's pretty embarrassing.

You've got things twisted.

Miles supporters are not the ones that claim Miles is the ONLY person who can succeed here.

You are the ones that claim ANYONE can do what Miles has done.

We make no assumptions. You make the assumptions.

All we ever say is that Miles has achieved a higher level of success at LSU than anyone before him. That is not an assumption. It's a cold hard fact.

We say be careful to run off someone that has achieved so much because of a couple of frustrating years (by only the highest of standards), because there is no guarantee that the next guy could do as well or better.

You nerds are the ones claiming that he is a functional retard that only holds the program back from achieving things it has never achieved before in 100+ years of existence.

And no, Miles' coach speak comment about his program is not even close to your position. Even someone who reads at what you assume Miles' reading comprehension to be would understand that

the problem is yall usually can't have a discussion about legitimate questions about his flaws w/o responding with his career record or provide a list of candidates that can do better, even if the discussion isn't about firing miles. Positigers are also quite negative in that they immediately start namecalling rather then having a discussion that is typically what message boards are for.
