The "what are you going to replace ACA with" fallacy

Maybe the way it was before isn't the best idea of how do run things, but it was better than what we have now with the ACA. For the time being, I don't find it necessary to enact legislation on the fly to fix it, or we're going to be in the same boat.

It's become a meme with liberals that if you repeal ACA, you have to have another plan, acting as if healthcare was just non-existent before this shitastophre of a law.

Looks like the Idiot in Chief has a plan.

The White House is going to allow people to keep their existing insurance policies in an attempt to head off a revolt among Democrats over ObamaCare.

President Obama is expected to make the announcement at 11:35 a.m.

The news comes one day before the House is scheduled to vote on a Republican-sponsored bill that would accomplish essentially the same goal. Insiders predicted that dozens of Democrats who face tough re-election fights next year would support the measure.

Yup. We don't need another plan. We don't need or want government involvement in healthcare at all.

Just Say No!

Are you kidding? It was bankrupting us.

Barely, both are bankrupting us.

Until we start trying to do what's best for the people and not just what's best for corporations, we will be in the same boat.

Curiously it's become a meme of the Republicans that we should just repeal the law and not replace it with anything as if our healthcare delivery system was just fine before this shitastophre of a law.

The Republicans should've seen the ACA coming and done something pro-active to thwart it. But instead were too smug to believe the Democrats would ever re-gain enough power in the government to push through healthcare reform like they tried to do the last time they had control of the government - the 90s.

I truly wonder how many people today even remember the Hillary-Care debate and the whole Harry and Louise thing concocted by the insurance companies.

The Democrats seemed to learn that in order to get anything passed, they would have to get the insurance companies on board to avoid another Harry and Louise scenario. What did the Republicans learn?

Where are Harry and Louise today?
