Jrue, Gordon, and Evans.

Similar skill-sets, similar mentalities. Attack/shoot first, and pass later. It just doesn't work when all three are on the court, b/c the other two who aren't involved in the play are just standing around watching.

Then again, maybe that's just Monty's lack of creativity in drawing up a play that isn't a pick-and-roll.

That's not the problem, giving up 111 points is more glaring. Those guys all had a pretty solid offensive night, minus turnovers.

you're right...it never was a good fit...one will be traded, imo

...the team should still be able to perform better than they have, however

It actually could be a good fit once they start trusting each other. Stop helping each other. Just play all man or a zone if you gone do all that but knowing them, I'm a zone they'll still frick that up.

They score 100+ on near 50% shooting and people are still bitching about the offense?

Not every possession can be a basket, y'all

The only possible trade I could maybe see happening would be Gordon to Chicago for Deng straight up.

Solves the SF issue for New Orleans and frees up Evans to start. And Chicago gets another shot-creator next to Rose.

You haven't noticed that it's been very difficult for each guard to stay in rhythm?

For example tonight, Gordon is hot early with 10 points...then he sits and when he comes back in, Tyreke is handling the ball and hitting shots, so then Gordon isn't touching the ball. What happens? Gordon gets cold.

It's been happening to all three players thus far this year. Having three ball-dominant, low-distributing guards just is not a good fit.

Don't worry, Loney, Gordon (and you) will be gone soon enough. Guess all the Evans haters jumped on the fire Monty bandwagon since he put up good numbers.

Pick and Roll is the most effective way to ball movement and an offense moving in the half court. LITERALLY every team runs a pick and roll half court offense...

Hey man, I hear you. The offense has looked ugly for the most part so far.

Yet there were some good things, changes, that happened on offense. Holiday was off ball more, guys were stationed in the corners, the ball wasn't sticking as much, there was good off ball action.

That doesn't mean everything is fixed. Utah is bad and that played a role in the performance. They still have no clue how to run a fast break, they can still settle for jumpers too easoly, still lose spacing in the half court, and Smiht in particular has no idea that he has a guy wide open for a 3 on the weakside most times after receiving a pick and pop pass.

Even with the ongoing struggles, the offense was nowhere near the issue last night. Gordon/Holiday/Evans played good enough to win on offense last night
